The pupil premium funding received by Westmoor Primary School for 2015-2016 is £39,280.
How is the funding being used?
Continued partial funding of an ECAR and ECC teacher. Increased training of further teaching assistants for intervention packages which now includes1stClass@Number2. The Educational Psychology Service have delivered training to support staff to engage in Therapeutic Talk with children. The pupil premium allowance also partially funds the Inclusion Manager. This role provides school with careful monitoring of all children including those eligible for Pupil Premium.
Resources have been purchased to maintain the high quality of interventions across school and further laptops have been purchased to extend the use of Clicker6 on a daily basis.
Pupil results in KS2 for FSM children were favourable (80%) when compared to those Non-FSM children nationally (60%) in those achieving the expected standard for Reading, Writing and Maths.
Pupil results in KS1 for FSM children were favourable (67%) when compared to those Non-FSM children nationally (64%) in those achieving the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths.
Pupil results for the Y1 Phonics Screener were favourable (100%) when compared to those Non-FSM children in North Tyneside (84%).
